In his photo collages Jak Beemsterboer strives after visual perfection in an imperfect world that makes us question our existence. Sometimes oppressive and repulsive but at the same time comfortable and always surrounded by the presence of man and beast. This futuristic dreamworld of living creatures, nature and architecture both nourishes and scares. A place we must inhabit without any doubt.

His subtle play with lines and his remarkable feeling for light, space and perspective make Jak van Beemsterboer one of the most fascinating collage artists of our time.
